MISS WILTON FOUNDERS DAY RULES PAGEANT RULES: 1. The pageant is limited to girls ages 3 -19. Participants must reach their respective age on or before August 14, 2026. 2. The pageant is open to all participants who meet the age requirement. There are no specific residency requirements. 3. Registration deadline is 5 pm on Friday, August 14, 2026 with application and entry fee (non-refundable). 4. Participant order will be drawn at random at the pageant rehearsal, August 19 at 6:00pm. 5. Contestants in the pageant must be checked in between 5:15pm to 5:45pm on August 20, or you will not be allowed to participate. 6. Contestants will need to arrive the day of the event ready and dressed in theme costume for the first segment of the pageant. (The theme is Red, White, & Blue) There will be a classroom or restroom available to change into dressy/formal attire, which is the second segment. 7. Only one (1) parent/guardian will be allowed to assist their child with clothing changes. Pageant participants ONLY will be allowed on stage. No parent/guardian escorts (exception for Tiny Miss division). 8. Contestants will be judged on poise, posture and walk, confidence on stage, and personality. After introductions in the gown segment, they will receive an age appropriate question from the host. 9. Contestants will be judged on a scale of 1-10 on the following areas, with 10 being the highest and a 50 as the highest score attainable: • Appearance and grooming • Stage presence and grace • Personality and confidence • Clear public speaking • Posture and walk 10. Dressy/Formal Attire. We prefer very little to no makeup and age appropriate clothing. (Short or long dress, party dress, pageant dress or gown, any type of formal wear.) 11. Judging will be conducted by a panel of three (3) judges. Their decisions are final. There will be chosen: • Tiny Miss Wilton Founders Day & First runner up. • Little Miss Wilton Founders Day & First runner up. • Jr Miss Wilton Founders Day & First runner up. • Miss Wilton Founders Day & First runner up. Winners will receive a sash, crown, and a trophy. Runners Up will receive a trophy. 12. Winning constants cannot leave until all winners are announced. There will be time for photographs after the pageant. 13. The responsibilities of the winners of the Miss Wilton Founders Day pageant will include being present during the Founders Day Parade (11:30 AM on Saturday August 16th, 2025), crowning next year’s winners, and any other duties agreed upon by Wilton Founders Day Staff and participant’s parent/guardian. 14. Please bring a jar decorated with the contestant's name or picture for People's Choice Award.

All pets must be on a leash or in a box, bowl or cage. This show is open to pet owners of all ages! Each pet owner can enter up to two pets. Pet owners are responsible for their pets and containers. Pets may be entered in up to three classes (see below). SATURDAY, AUGUST 22, 2026 1:30 - 2:30 PM Hy-Line Stage (in front of Freedom Rock) Show up between 12:45 PM - 1:15 PM to enter your pet in the competition.

REGISTRATION INFO As a participant in this pageant, everyone will have the opportunity to learn to speak confidently in a public space. In the registration form, you will describe in 50 words or less a social cause or interest that you are passionate about or something that you may be interested in learning more about and why. Each participant will be asked a question about their social cause. For example, if your social cause is animal rescue, you may be asked about what made you care about animals. If you care about keeping our community clean and beautiful, you may want to talk about picking up litter when you see it on the ground. Our younger contestants may not be aware of any social causes, so maybe their interest is helping to bake cookies, helping to take care of the family pet, or even helping to fix things around the house. Anything is acceptable, it’s about an opportunity to experience public speaking and grow in confidence over the years to master the art of public speaking confidently. The Founders Day parade is Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. Please plan to participate if you win your age division Title. The Chamber & Development Alliance may be able to help you find a vehicle if needed. You need to show up at the high school (1000 Cypress St.) by 11:15. A Title winner will not be allowed to compete next year but is asked to come back to present a crown and sash to next year’s Miss Wilton Founders Day and runners-up. CLICK TO REGISTER
